Slide 2 (heuristic analysis):
- To start the project we thought that it would be appropriate to do a heuristic analysis of the existing flow.
- This involves using Nielsen’s 10 heuristics to interpret how successful the UX is on a site
- We analysed the data and created this graph, which visually shows how successful the voucher redemption flow executes each heuristic principle.
- The three heuristics with the most opportunity for change were:
- Aesthetic and minimalist design
- Visibility and system status
- Consistency and standards

- This is a huge file just to show part of the scope of the competitor research that we conducted. Scroll down
- We felt it was important to study this as we felt that as Virgin Wines is a luxury brand we wanted to maintain these standards, taking inspiration from competitors in the same league.
- From the analysis of competitors, we drew design inspiration and utilised parts of their sites which were working well for their own users.
